The 80 mm Unguided Aviation Rocket ARS-8KOM is of “air–to–ground” type, designed to be fired from the B8, B8M, B8M-1, B8-V20-A, B-8V7 and B-8S7 rocket pods carried on aircraft and helicopters of the front-line and army aviation, is intended for destruction of:
Armoured ground targets – tanks, armoured personnel carriers (APCs) and machinery, etc.;
Unarmoured ground targets – radiolocation stations, rocket launching units, soft-skinned combat materiel on the ground, aircrafts in park position, etc., and
Enemy manpower.

Main Features:
The ARS-8KOM Rocket is loaded into and fired from the corresponding container launchers B8, B8M, B8M-1, B8-V20-A, B-8V7 and B-8S7, which are carried by various aircraft - attack aircraft, bombers and fighter-bombers: Su-17, Su-24, Su-34, Su-25, Su-27, Su-35, MiG-23 and MiG-27; and attack helicopters: Mi-8, Mi-24, Mi-35, Mi-28, Ka-52 and Ka-50.

The L 410 is manufactured in the Czech Republic by Aircraft Industries, the largest Czech manufacturer of civil aircraft with a 90year history in aviation. The L 410 is an all-metal, high-wing turboprop aircraft, known for its exceptionally reliability and safety to operate even in extreme climatic conditions. This aircraft is used in more than 60 countries across five continents.

Two versions of the L 410 are available.
The L 410 UVP-E20 is a twin-engine short take-off and landing (STOL) aircraft designed for regional transport. It can carry up to 19 passengers or 1700 kg of cargo. It is known for its rugged design and is widely used in diverse environments, including remote areas.

The L 410 NG (New Generation) is an upgraded version of the L 410 UPV-E20. The state of the art Glass Cockpit Technology with the latest avionics from Garmin G3000 provides the highest level of flight safety and comfort for the crew. Thanks to the new wing structure with integral fuel tank and increased fuel capacity, the L 410 NG enables significantly longer range and endurance. Plate Products and Processing Services in Oakland, CA
United Performance Metals’ Oakland, California location is focused on providing high-quality plate products and FIRSTCUT+® Processing Services. This facility is home to grinding and precision cold saw cutting machinery that achieves precise tolerances and surface finishes. United Performance Metals Oakland, California location primarily works with stainless steel and PRODEC® grades in plate form. These products are purchased from the highest quality mills in the world and are fully certified and DFARS compliant. UPM’s Oakland facility specializes in grinding and cold sawing, where they can further process plate products to meet customers’ needs. To learn more about UPM’s plate product offerings.

Grinding - UPM’s Oakland, California branch has the capability to grind various grades of stainless steel. Standard tolerances include thickness +/- .005”, flat and parallel w/I .005” and surface finish at 63 RMS. Additionally, this location has the capacity to grind external customer-provided materials. There are two types of grinding machines used to help achieve the proper tolerance and finish: Blanchard and Double Disc. Blanchard grinding uses a vertical grinding spindle with a cylindrical grinding wheel and flat magnetic chuck to hold ferrous material to be finished. As the magnetic chuck rotates, this action helps carry the work under the sides to remove the material. The rotary motion of the grinder allows work to be loaded in a full circle so there are no end pieces. Double Disc grinding works by using abrasive wheels on opposite sides of each other to grind and remove equal amounts from both sides of material. This process generally produces the highest level of flatness and parallelism on opposing surfaces and is typically used for high productivity jobs. To learn more about UPM’s grinding services.

Precision Cold Saw Cutting - UPM’s Cold saw cutting virtually eliminates the heat affected zones often incurred as part of the plasma cutting process and minimizes labor time and expense. Standard tolerances include 3/16" - 1 3/4" +/- .060 - .000 and 2" and thicker +/- .125 - .000. A cold saw is a circular saw with a toothed saw blade that keeps the primary material cool. The chips that are cut away from the metal absorb the heat, thus transferring it away from the material being cut as well as the cutting blade. Exclusive: X-Bow and Lockheed collaborating amid $105 million raise

Lockheed, also the world's largest defense contractor by revenue, "does not enter these agreements lightly, is what we understand," he added. "They get their choice of investments in these areas."
The latest: The arrangement coincides with the closure of X-Bow's Series B funding round at a little more than $105 million.

Investors include Razor's Edge Ventures, Crosslink Capital, Balerion Space Ventures and Capital Factory Ventures.
Lockheed Martin Ventures and Boeing Ventures were early backers, as well.
Between the lines: X-Bow (pronounced crossbow) is among a handful of fresh SRM competitors in the U.S. The cadre's breakout comes as pricey munitions are expended across the world and the Pentagon sweats industrial health back home.

State of play: X-Bow is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and is building an energetics campus near Austin, Texas. It will open soon.

The company also offers a "rocket factory in a box" for distributed, on-demand production.

Its approximately 300 employees include SpaceX alumni.
Context: X-Bow has inked contracts across the military and, Hundley said, "all the services are ... experiencing the same pinch point at the same time."

"We've been focused on two factors for the last several years: scale and affordability," he said.
The company was previously tapped for work tied to the Army's Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon and the Navy's Conventional Prompt Strike.
